MCE BSB - Thruxton

Another awesome race weekend at the historic track at Thruxton and I must confess as one of my favourite tracks on the tour, The weather was an improvement on brands hatch but you wouldn’t call it perfect it’s a good job your all hard core fans.

Race 1 of the weekend was a thriller with Ian Lowry taking top spot and making history with the Padgett’s Honda first ever victory in the MCE British superbikes. Tommy hill was just over 2 seconds behind him. The battle was for 3rd however as Josh brookes claimed the last podium with 2 laps to go improving on the opening laps of the race coming all the way back from 10th great stuff josh was great to see.

Race 2 and josh brookes entertains again with a last lap ambush on the champ Tommy Hill to win the second race of the weekend and again started outside the top 10 on the first lap!!!! He was on fire!!!

Shane Byrne got the last podium spot after holding the race lead in the early stages of the race and again in lap 17 but brookes was on a mission and Byrne couldn’t hold him or Tommy off and claimed 3rd with Lowry salvaging 4th behind his teammate.

Its hotting up now as we move on to Oulton park and its getting exiting. Will Hill claim his first victory of 2012???? Get in touch go to my facebook page.

A great weekend and to top it off I even got to meet the legend Murray Walker what a great guy he loves his superbikes.
