So Tommy Hill is flying high in the MCE Insurance BSB Championship after two rounds – but not quite as high as the new George White balloon that you would have struggled to miss at Thruxton. Its bloody massive – 37 metres high and 47 metres wide to be precise. It is exactly 23 times the size of a conventional bike, but despite that it only does 12 mph.
Lets hope it doesn’t distract from what promises to be some stonking racing this weekend at Oulton Park. It’ll be interesting to see if Leon Haslam’s got what it takes, and if Tommy Hill can keep it going.
