Hill has uphill struggle while Hopkins hops past...

Poor old Tommy Hill. Back at the track where he pretty much lost the MCE Insurance BSB championship last year, and he dislocate his shoulder in the warm up – ruling him out of this weekend and possibly the next couple of meets.

But Ryuichi Kiyonari, the man who took advantage of Hills misfortune last term to claim the title, was on top form again. He took the chequered flag in the first race ahead of Hopkins and Easton.

Then thanks to a stoppage after a spectacular debris scattering smash up from Josh Brookes, Hopkins showed his Moto GP pedigree again, claiming his first win, and sending a message to the rest of the field. How white are that guys teeth! It looks like anyone’s championship at the moment...
