Ed Rendell is now recovering from the injuries he sustained when he crashed during pre-season testing in Spain earlier this month following successful surgery in London.
Rendell crashed whilst testing at Cartagena and after returning to the UK, he underwent surgery to have metal plates and screws inserted to rebuild his badly broken pelvis and is now recovering in hospital.
Team owner Mark Webster said: "I have just returned from visiting Ed at St George's Hospital in London and am astonished to see the progress he has made even in the past four days. Unbelievably he can now stand unaided and is already talking about getting back on a bike, although the severity of his injuries will prevent him from doing so in the very near future. But I am sure with the determination he is showing it will be a lot sooner than most people are expecting."
