Evo anecdotes: Snetterton
The Mirror.co.uk BSB - Evo Championship was all change in the championship standings again at the seventh round at Snetterton as Steve Brogan regained the lead in the title standings from rival Hudson Kennaugh and now holds a four point advantage. Here some of the contenders reflect on their weekend whilst we get the lowdown on the latest Evo standings.

Jentin Racing-BMW Motorrad
Steve Brogan: R1- 1st, R2 - 1st, R3: 1st
Championship position: 1st

"Race one wasn't too bad - though someone ran into the back of me at the Bombhole and nearly knocked me off, luckily I managed to stay on! I got a good start in race two - but the pace car came out with about seven laps to go. On the restart I almost collided with a back marker who had rejoined the race from the pit lane and pulled right across on to the racing line in front of me. I was flat out but luckily managed to miss him - though it cost me a couple of positions.

"It was then a bit of a dogfight to the flag as I chased down the EVO leader but I managed to get him on the penultimate lap and hold on for the win. It's been a tough but satisfying weekend and with the teams help we're walking away as the championship leaders."

Splitlath Aprilia
Hudson Kennaugh: R1- 5th, R2 - 3rd, R3: 3rd
Championship position: 2nd

"That was really a weekend full of positives; if we can move forward like we have there then we will really have a great second half of the season. I'm really happy with everything; it was definitely the right decision to come here. It's a great team and the bike is definitely better than expected. We started the weekend three seconds off the pace and in the final race we were just a quarter of a second behind. It's been a great weekend and I leave here feeling very optimistic."

AIM Suzuki
Gary Johnson: R1: 2nd, R2: 2nd, R3: 2nd
Championship position: 3rd

"It has been a good weekend here to finish on the podium in all three races. It is great for the whole team as the boys have worked so hard to turn the season around and get us where we need to be. I fluffed the start in one of the races and I knew Steve was going to be fast on the BMW, but the logo definitely is a target on his back but I just couldn't do it at the weekend as he had the legs on me. I can't wait until Brands Hatch now."

Two Brothers Racing Kawasaki
David Johnson: R1: 6th, R2: 7th, R3: 6th
Championship position: 4th

"The weekend started off terrible from the go with engine problems which left me missing most of practice and all of qualifying. The Two Brothers team worked extemely hard to replace the engine with a new one lent to us by Nick Morgan from MSS Kawasaki. We had minutes to spare before the first race but we got out there. We kept struggling with lack of set up and low down grunt so I just finished where I could and salvaged some points out of such a bad weekend. Unfortunatly I've slipped back to fourth in the championship but I will be back on the pace at Brands Hatch. Big thanks to my team and especially Nick Morgan at MSS Kawasaki for the loan of an engine!"
