On May 24th 2009 MCE took part and successfully completed The Great Trade Run from Lands End to John O’Groats in aid of the charity Riders for Health.
We motorcycled 1,800 miles over a three day period which took us from Lands End in Cornwall up through Devon, past Wales and into the Lake District. On the first day, we completed a massive 453 miles
Day 2, the group rode around The Lakes up towards Ben Nevis and the glorious weather that we had been enjoying took a nasty turn for the worse as we hit the Highlands. Day 3, and we set off for the final 300 miles as we climbed higher, winding through the lochs of Scotland on to our destination, John O’Groats.
Dominic Edwards, Director said ‘It gives me great pleasure to confirm that the group successfully completed the trip and raised £5,500.00 in donations for the charity Riders for Health, who are making sure millions of people across Africa receive regular reliable healthcare aiding their health workers to have access to motorcycles that never break down’.
