As part of the launch of the new S1000RR, Motorrad Central Scotland Partner, Alan Dalziel comments: "With the introduction of BMWs first 100% supersport bike, we wanted to support Scottish racing with a high calibre rider. David Paton's pedigree at the young age of 20 has already impressed a highly contested championship and we are thrilled at the prospect of his achievements on board the S1000RR. We wish him well for the 2010 season."
David, who is currently undergoing setup preparations on the S1000RR, has already generated a lot of interest and support for his 2010 campaign. Supporting him alongside Motorrad Central Scotland are Paramed UK, Alder Enterprises, Digby Brown Solicitors, Horsetiger Management, Devil Exhausts, Zion, Bikesportpics, B&C Express, Renthal, Motul Oils and R&G Racing.
Looking forward to the start of the season, David Paton comments: "It's really exciting just how much interest and support we have for the 2010 campaign, I know everyone has been working flat out to make everything possible. Testing in Portimao in late 2009 on the S1000RR gave me the confidence that we can be really competitive this year and with the support of the team we have, I know that we have a package that will compete with the best of them."
20-year old Scottish born David Paton started racing at the age of 13 on mini-motos and won his second and last year appearances.
