Kymco Scooter Insurance Increases Market Share

Despite the decline in the overall two-wheel market, Kymco reports that it successfully continued to grow its market share in the moped sector in 2009, and is now looking to build on this further in 2010 with the launch of new models, insurance offers and further investment in after-sales support and dealer recruitment.

"Naturally, we should all be very concerned about the decline of the market in the UK, however, it is very pleasing to note that we substantially outperformed the market and continued to grow our market share," said Ian Kidson, managing director of MASCO Ltd, the UK concessionaire for Kymco.

For 2010, Kymco has already revealed three new models, the KR Naked 125 street bike, the Pulsar 'Base' 125 and the Like 200i retro scooter. The highly successful 'Anywhere' insurance package, which offers subsidised insurance for all customers aged from 16-75 years living in any postcode area of the UK from just £49, will also be extended in partnership with MCE.
