Road Safety Week is fast approaching (21-27 November 2011), a project created by the charity Brake. With an aim to increase awareness of the dangers on the roads, Road Safety Week campaigns about the necessary precautions to take to prevent accidents from happening.
This community event has been designed to inspire the UK's road users to promote road safety to colleagues, friends and family. Your level of involvement is entirely up to you - from making a promise to ride slower in built up areas - to telling your friends about it - or to something as big as running road community safety campaigns in your local area. All funds raised contribute towards the services provided by Brake for victims of collisions, whilst also helping to raise awareness of the cause.
