MCE Insurance, the UK's number One provider of motorcycle insurance, has recently held an auction on internet site eBay in order to raise funds for the Riders for Health charity.
Riders for Health is an award-winning social enterprise, which raises much needed funds to ensure that all health workers in Africa have access to reliable motorcycle transportation in order that they can reach the most isolated people with regular and predictable health care.
The title sponsors of the MCE Insurance British Superbikes Series auctioned off signed merchandise from six of the top MCE BSB riders in order to support this extremely worthy cause and raised a fantastic total of £439.06, which will go directly to ensure that the motorbikes that the African health workers use can continue to be kept on the road. Emma Westley, Head of Marketing commented; "The work that Riders for Health do in Africa to ensure a consistent flow of healthcare to remote parts of the continents is not only vital to those that it helps, but is expensive to maintain. At MCE, we are delighted to use our links with the MCE BSB riders to raise money to help keep bikes moving on a completely different continent."
Riders for Health are a partner of MCE Insurance at all MCE BSB rounds, providing the FREE helmet and leather storage that is available for all Club MCE members. Visit www.clubmce.com for more info.
