Da Costa to Step In for Injured O'Halloran
It was confirmed today that Julien Da Costa will step in for injured Honda Racing rider Jason O'Halloran at the next MCE British Superbike round at Oulton Park.
O'Halloran suffered a broken right femur and two broken bones in his left hand after a crash in qualifying at Thruxton earlier in the year, and is going to focus on his recovery for the remainder of the season.
Da Costa will miss out on the following round at Assen due to a conflict with the Endurance series, however it is rumoured that the Frenchman will also fill in for the injured Honda rider for the remaining two rounds of the season at Silverstone and Brands Hatch.
Da Costa commented: 'I'm really looking forward to coming back to the MCE BSB again; it's just a shame that it's in the circumstance it is with Jason being injured'.
Da Costa played a key role in the Fireblade's development in 2014 during Honda racing's sabbatical and should be able to hit the ground running when the next round of the MCE BSB championship hits Oulton Park.
