Hutchy makes it sixteen with Superstock victory
Ian Hutchinson has stormed to victory in today's delayed Superstock race and in the process bagged himself his 16th Isle of Man TT victory.
The Tyco BMW rider was strong from the very start, taking the lead off Michael Rutter on the opening lap and creating a gap on Peter Hickman who went on to finish second in the race, with Manxman Dan Kneen scoring his debut TT podium.
Hutchinson's lead stood at 6.7 seconds when he came into the pits at the end of lap two, but a characteristically strong pit stop from the Tyco BMW team saw his lead stretch by eight seconds with two laps remaining.
Hickman, who hasn't been off the podium this week finished 22 seconds back on Hutchinson, with Kneen 21 seconds behind the Smiths BMW rider on his Penz13.com BMW.
Rutter finished in fourth, also on BMW machinery like all three podium finishers, followed by Harrison and Michael Dunlop. William Dunlop, David Johnson, Jamie Coward and Horst Saiger made up the top ten.
