Prime Factors Racing have announced they will make the move into the MCE British Superbike Championship in 2016, following on from a year of experience in the FIM Endurance World Championship.

The team is managed by former MCE BSB racer Steve Plater and will compete in the MCE BSB as well as the National Superstock 1000 class, they will continue to race on the S1000RR machines they competed on in the Endurance World Championship.

The team was founded in 2014 when they instantly made waves, winning the National Endurance Championship in their first attempt. The 2016 rider line-up has yet to be announced, but they are expected to try and hit the ground running when Silverstone rolls around.

Prime Factors Racing Team Manager Steve Plater commented: "This is a very exciting opportunity for everyone at Prime Factors Racing. BSB is undoubtedly the most relevant series in motorcycle sport, and with 2016 being its 20th anniversary it was a perfect opportunity to make our debut! We're confident that with the calibre of riders we have, coupled with the support from BMW, we won't be there to make up the numbers and our goal is to mix it up with the more established teams!"
