Round 12 - MCE British Superbike Championship - Brands Hatch GP - Race Two
Shane 'Shakey' Byrne has claimed his fifth MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship title with one race remaining, finishing sixth and making it impossible for rival Haslam to bridge the gap.
Ellison hit the front in the early stages on the drying track, with Iddon and Hopkins close behind. Both Haslam and Byrne were outside of the top ten after the opening lap and Haslam was desperately trying to get away to make it all to play for in race three, however Byrne was never far behind throughout.
As this action unfolded in the middle of the pack Ellison rocketed to victory, holding off Hopkins who was desperately trying to bag ePayMe Yamaha's first victory, however settled for the team's first podium finish of the year.
Hickman completed the podium after taking the place from Iddon who was forced to retire two laps from the end with a technical issue.
Linfoot was fourth, Haslam finished fifth with Byrne sixth. Irwin, Bridewell, O'Halloran and Mossey completed the top ten.
