Caterham launch a motorbike division
The Caterham sports car brand has surprised many in the last week when they launched their first motorbike division at the annual EICMA bike show in Milan. The launch saw the company release it's first three motorbikes. 2 of which were electric bicycle type machines and one full bike.
The Brutus 750 dirt bike is their main machine and is supposed to be the 'SUV of motorcycles' with claimed skills on and off-road. Interestingly the motorbike can, according to Caterham, be transformed into a snowmobile in only a few hours.
The other two models are the classic E-Bike and the carbon E-Bike. Caterham claim they will be able to be ridden free from license in the EU and have a range of 40-80km depending on how hard the machines are being used. The classic has a retro inspired design whereas the carbon model incorporates the companies F1 styling.
These models are set to come into production soon and should be available in the spring with a reasonable price tag according to Caterham.
