The march of the wonderkid continued this weekend in Argentina for the third round of the MotoGP series. Marc Marquez once again stormed to victory in a display of riding brilliance even seeing off the re-ignited Jorge Lorenzo.

Right from the off the 20-year-old star showed his calibre at the brand new Termas de Rio Hondo circuit in Argentina blasting out best times in all the practice sessions and then once again qualifying taking pole position.

His race start wasn't the quickest and Lorenzo set about getting away from the pack. In the early laps he did just that, shaking off Pedrosa, Rossi and Bradl. But Marquez who settled in 7th was on the move once his tyres were hot. It didn't take him long to carve through the pack and up to 2nd, then he just had to chase down Lorenzo who had a healthy 2 second gap. Within 3 laps Marquez was on his back wheel and waiting. The champ showed wisdom beyond his years, toying with Lorenzo until he eventually decided to pass him with 9 laps to go. Once past he went on to stack up a 3 second gap in just 3 laps and finished miles ahead of the rest.

Lorenzo was eventually passed by Dani Pedrosa on the other Honda factory bike and Rossi was close behind him in the final laps. If Marquez continues this run he could be clear and champion again in no time, no one else seems to be able to come close to him. We'll see what the competition has got at the next round on the 4th of May in Jerez.
