Motor insurance prices fall
The average price of motor insurance fell during the third quarter of 2014 according to recently released figures by the Association of British Insurers (ABI).
Premiums have fallen seven percent over the last 18 months and this quarter saw a drop on the average price of £2. It may seem like a small amount at the moment but savings should continue to come in as reforms to the civil justice system develop.
More reforms are in the pipeline too aiming to tackle whiplash claims and fraud which drive up premiums. Head of motor and liability at the ABI James Dalton commented that insurers are "passing on savings to customers following the introduction of much needed reforms to the civil justice system".
