People Development Sharply in Focus at MCE

MCE Insurance

In times of business austerity, training budgets are often the first to be cut, however the UK's leading provider of motorcycle insurance are bucking that trend and are continuing to invest in the development of our people. MCE Insurance introduced a further education scheme last year at their Northamptonshire-based call centre, aimed at providing funding for their people and giving them the opportunity to gain professional qualifications to benefit them in their roles. The latest round of scholarships have now been awarded at the title sponsors of the MCE Insurance British Superbikes Series and this year, there are more people benefitting than ever before.

A wide variety of courses are being funded, including qualifications in Insurance, Accountancy, Project Management and Web Programming. Numerous Sales and Customer Service Agents are now beginning their journey towards the much sought-after CII certification, and Margaret Zakrzewska from the company's Finance team is about to undertake her Level 4 AAT Accountancy qualification. Courses already completed under the new scheme include advanced web programming and e-mail campaign design by Matt Clayton, Digital Designer in MCE's Marketing team.

Ceri Lewison, Systems Developer in MCE's IT team enthused; "I am delighted to have been awarded a Scholarship this year and am really looking forward to getting started on my studies. I am doing a Prince2 Project Management course which will not only help me to do my job better here at MCE, but also develops me as a person and keeps me learning, which I love."
