Where can I find the cheapest fuel?

MCE Insurance

On 26th June the decision was made by UK Government to put a freeze on fuel tax for the rest of 2012. This decision, which postpones the 3p rise which was already deferred in January, should really come as no surprise as far as vote winning policies go. Even without the 3p rise, since 2002 petrol prices have increased 52.6% which has undoubtedly caused much hardship. The question on every road users lips is: 'where can I buy the cheapest fuel?'.

www.petrolprices.com - It's just one of the many hidden gems on the world wide web. Petrolprices.com simply asks you to enter your postcode and then shows you the closest petrol stations in your area and which one is cheapest!

So make your next fill up decision easy and check out this website before you make the trip. But don't forget that doing your weekly shop can also save you pennies on fuel - Supermarket chains such as Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Asda have been making their petrol prices more competitive for some time and can save upto £10 on a tank of petrol. Morrisons for example are running 6p off a litre when you spend more than £40. Most of the supermarkets run similar schemes so just keep an eye out when doing your weekly shop and make sure the cashier hands over a voucher!
