MCE Insurance, Crown Way, Rushden NN10 6BS are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA). Our FSA register number is 307832 which can be checked by visiting the FSA's website www.fsa.gov.uk or contacting them on 0845 606 1234. MCE Insurance (MCE) are authorised in advising, arranging, dealing as an agent and assisting in the ongoing administration of insurance policies as an independent insurance intermediary.
MCE act on your behalf in advising you on and arranging your insurance needs, as well as helping you with any ongoing changes you may have. We will also assist you with any claim you need to make. We provide policies and issue documentation on behalf of a panel of insurers. We offer a wide range of insurance products, and have access to leading insurers in the market place. For some types of insurance we deal exclusively with a single insurer, which we have selected as offering value for money. Your documentation will be emailed to you at the email address you have provided. Additional charges are payable for documentation to be issued by post.
You may be able to pay for your premium by way of credit agreement through a finance scheme that we have arranged through MCE Premium Finance**. Additional charges and interest will be applied to pay by this method. If you choose this option, full details of payment dates, instalment amounts, interest and charges payable will be forwarded to you separately. You may also pay for your policy in full by way of debit/credit card at the start of your policy. As an agent of your insurer, we will hold your money in statutory trust until such time as it becomes payable to the insurer, in line with FSA regulations.
We reserve the right to withdraw premium indications, including renewal quotations, before they are taken up and to apply any changes notified to us by the underwriters after the indication was given.
You must provide complete and accurate information to MCE when you take out your insurance policy, throughout the life of your policy, and when you renew your policy. It is important that you ensure that all statements you make to us, your insurers and our claims department are full and accurate. If you fail to disclose any material information it may invalidate your insurance cover, and may mean that part or all of a claim may not be paid. When the policy documentation is issued, you must read it carefully as it is the basis of the insurance contract you have purchased, and contact us immediately if there are any discrepancies. We will advise you of any premium changes that result from any changes to your documentation.
Following inception of your policy, you are required to forward to MCE proof of any no claims bonus that is being used on your policy and copies of driving licenses, both card and counterpart (or pre-photocard paper licence) for you and any additional persons named on the policy. MCE will then validate the no claims bonus on your policy and record driving licence details to validate identity and driving history.
Should you be unable to produce this documentation or if there is any discrepancy between the documentation and what you have disclosed to MCE, you may have to pay an additional premium from your insurer together with a late disclosure charge from MCE. Where possible, we will add this charge to your existing MCE Premium Finance** agreement and we will notify you in writing of the amended instalment amounts, otherwise it must be paid in full by way of debit / credit card. If no payment is received we shall be entitled to cancel your policy in line with current procedures. In the event of such cancellation you will still be liable to pay the additional premium and MCE late disclosure charge, any refund of insurer premium and set up charge will be offset against the amount owing. You will remain liable for any outstanding balance remaining.
You must contact us if you are having difficulty meeting any payments due through MCE Premium Finance**. Failure to keep up with repayments may result in the cancellation of your policy in line with current procedures. You will remain liable for any outstanding balance following cancellation.
If we insure your motor vehicle under a chassis number you agree to supply us with the registration number within 7 days of the inception date. Failure to supply the registration within this time frame may result in the cancellation of your policy and you will pay a time on risk charge based on the insurer premium detailed within the policy booklet along with a cancellation fee in line with the scale below.
MCE's setup and renewal charge is variable and will have been calculated based upon your needs at inception and the market value of the policy as a whole. A proportion of this charge may be refunded if your policy is cancelled mid term. The total cost of your policy is made up of the insurer's premium, MCE's broker charge and insurance premium tax. In addition to MCE's variable set up and renewal charges, we reserve the right to make the following charges for the ongoing administration of your policy. Please note these charges are non refundable outside of the 14 day cooling off period:

This commences from either: the day the contract is finalised or the day on which you receive the full terms of the contract, detailing the full contractual terms, conditions and other information to the contract, whichever is later.
