Our Regulator

MCE Insurance is a trading style of MCE Insurance Ltd. Authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), under firm reference number 307832. You can check this on the Financial Conduct Authority Register by visiting their website on www.fca.org.uk/firms/systems-reporting/register. MCE Insurance (MCE) are authorised in advising, arranging, dealing as an agent and assisting in the ongoing administration of insurance policies as an independent insurance intermediary.

Our Service

MCE act on your behalf in advising you on and arranging your insurance needs, as well as helping you with any ongoing changes you may have. We will also assist you with any claim you need to make. We provide policies and issue documentation on behalf of a panel of insurers. We offer a wide range of insurance products, and have access to leading insurers in the market place. For some types of insurance we deal exclusively with a single insurer, which we have selected as offering value for money. Your documentation will be emailed to you at the email address you have provided. As an agent of your insurer, we will hold your money in statutory trust until such time as it becomes payable to the insurer. We reserve the right to withdraw premium indications, including renewal quotations, before they are taken up and to apply any changes notified to us by the underwriters after the indication was given.

Your Responsibility

You must take reasonable care to ensure you answer all questions honestly to the best of your knowledge and not misrepresent any answers, when you take out your policy, throughout the life of your policy, and when you renew your policy. If you don't answer all questions honestly or do misrepresent answers your policy may be cancelled or treated as if it never existed, or in the event of a claim it may be rejected or not fully paid. When the policy documentation is issued, you must read it carefully as it is the basis of the insurance contract you have purchased, and contact us immediately if there are any discrepancies. You have declared that the licence, conviction, claims details and No Claims Bonus are correct and upon request or at the time of any claim you will be required to provide acceptable documentary proof of these. Upon receipt we will use the documents provided to confirm your no claims entitlement, driving entitlement, driving convictions and claims and we may share this information with numerous insurers. Should it become apparent upon verification of No Claims Bonus that the claimed bonus is incorrect or there are undisclosed driving convictions or claims your insurer may impose an additional premium along with a £100.00 administration charge, additional excess or policy terms, or may reject or not fully pay a claim.

Charges and Fees

MCE's setup and renewal charge is variable and will have been calculated based upon your needs at inception and the market value of the policy as a whole. A proportion of this charge may be refunded if your policy is cancelled mid term. The total cost of your policy is made up of the insurer's premium, MCE's broker charge and insurance premium tax. In addition to MCE's variable set up and renewal charges, we reserve the right to make the following charges for the ongoing administration of your policy. Please note these charges are non refundable outside of the 14 day cooling off period:
