MCE Insurance BSB season off to a flyer...

So Brands Hatch saw more action this weekend than the back seat of Tiger Woods car as the MCE Insurance British Superbike season got underway.

There was a win for Tommy Hill in race one, and Ellison took race two on the track, but off it there were quite a few riders with the taste of gravel in their mouth at some stage.

Fair play to Stuart Easton, who I didn’t expect to see on a bike for a bit after he came off in testing at Cadwell Park. If you haven’t seen it, check MCN’s coverage here. Haven’t seen a gash that big, actually I can’t say that.

Bring on Thruxton!

Wow what a day. I never thought joining club MCE would give you exclusive perks like walking around the grid prior to the race- well it can do if you register it did for me. It was great seeing all the top riders, managers, teams and grid girls and being able to walk around - there is so much going on. It was something else being there something I will always remember now every time I watch a race the atmosphere. Last years BSB winner Leon Camier was there too with the Eurosport presenters.
Big Ed is a good laugh – he must get hot in that helmet and the smilers were lovely.
Thank you very much to the MCE team keep it going.
