Eventful Oulton

A cold and wet Oulton Park saw more of the same consistency for MCE Inurance BSB Championship leader Tommy Hill who extends his lead to 51 points after three rounds. Machael Laverty commented on his maiden win in race two by calling it ‘easy. I’m sure he’s hoping for a summer of miserable weather if he can perform that well in the wet.

So poor old Neil Hodgson has had to hang up his leathers after aggravating his shoulder injury. The former BSB and World Superbikes Champion has had more surgery than Pamela Anderson, but he’s finally having to call it a day. A real shame.

Away from the track it was a bank holiday of protest, with the rally in Westminster to oppose the bike parking tax, and bikers making the news with a ‘go-slow’ on the M62 to protest over the record high price of fuel.
