Tech Solutions – Technical Business Analyst

Full Time – Permanent

Salary: Depending upon experience, up to £40k
Location: Home Working/Flexible working/Hybrid

Overview

As MCE are developing new systems, improving existing processes and continuing to grow, we are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our Tech Solutions Team. The Tech Solutions Team are responsible for managing change across all areas of MCE and work on various projects as required to support the business strategy.

Primary Responsibilities & Objectives

- Investigating stakeholder requirements, problems, and opportunities to understand any underlying issues and proposing options for effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes.
- Working with the Project Manager and wider business areas to understand and define the project goal, strategy, objectives, and steps.
- Using a jira board to document detailed requirements and to track progress through to completion.
- Allocating tasks to project team and monitoring progress and completion of tasks through the jira board, working with Project Manager where required.
- Providing coaching and support to Business Analysts to enable completion of tasks, sharing knowledge, and enabling others to develop their skills.
- Reviewing output from Business Analysts such as proposal/summary documents, proposed process flows, test packs and IT requirements providing constructive feedback and sign off.
- Providing input during project meetings and steering committees, communicating appropriately based on audience.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

- Business Analysis experience in the personal lines insurance industry.
- Experience of delivering business change, managing IT implementations and technology projects in a complex environment.
- Experience working with other business analysts, sharing knowledge, and helping others to develop skill sets.
- Stakeholder management skills – ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Able to delegate tasks and monitor through to completion, providing effective coaching and support to others.
- Ability to take ownership of problems and coordinate appropriate internal resources to help solve issues logically, effectively, and efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and presentation.
- High level of initiative and self-motivation.
- Desirable – Finance/Accounting Business Analysis Experience.
- Desirable – Data and Analytics Business Analysis Experience.
- Desirable – ISEB / UML / BPMN (Qualifications/Process Mapping Standards).
- Desirable – Experience of the ICE Insuretech platform, specifically implementations of ICE Claims or ICE Policy.
