Broc Parkes to miss Thruxton MCE BSB

National Superstock 1000 rider Adam Jenkinson will take part in this weekend's MCE BSB action at Thruxton in place of Milwaukee Yamaha rider Broc Parkes. The Australian rider is still in too much pain following double arm-pump surgery and struggled to make his way through this morning's 45 minute free practice session.

Parkes had the surgery before the last round at Brands Hatch, but following an exerting session at the Suzuka eight-hours last week the Hampshire track has proven too much for him.

Team manager Mick Shanley spoke to Bikesportnews.com regarding this: "Broc was in a lot of pain this morning, and his arms started hurting after competing in Suzuka. On the ground of health and safety we have decided that it would not be safe for him to take part in the rest of the weekend."

On the subject of Adam Jenkinson temporarily joining the team Shanley said "it will be good to still have to Milwaukee Yamaha bikes taking part in both races this weekend".

With Jenkinson riding a Yamaha in the Stock 1000 class he should be able to hit the ground running when he heads out for free practice two! Best of look to Adam, and best wishes and hopes of a speedy recovery to Broc!
