Buchan to Join PBM Kawasaki for Remainder of 2015

MCE Insurance

As we reported yesterday Danny Buchan and his teammate Chris Walker were left without a 2015 ride for the remainder of the MCE British Superbike season, following the Bewiser Kawasaki team disbanding effective immediately.

It has been announced today that Buchan has been invited to join Paul Bird's PBM Kawasaki team for the remainder of the year in place of injured Stuart Easton, who has had a series of bad luck in the latter stages of this year's championship.

It will be a great opportunity for the reigning National Superstock 1000 champion to show his riding ability on a bike that Shane Byrne is hoping to win the 2015 title on.

Buchan said: "I was going to run my own bike - my dad was willing to do just about anything, along with my personal sponsors, to keep me on the grid. But when this came up, it was an excellent position for me - it's a championship-winning bike, and I can't wait to get going on it."

His teammate Chris Walker recently celebrated his 300th race start and is looking to continue to add races to the impressive tally in the future; however it appears he will not be riding at Silverstone this weekend following the collapse of the Be Wiser team.

We wish Buchan all the best this weekend, it will be tricky on a completely new set up, however here at MCE we are sure his riding ability will speak for itself. With regards to Chris 'The Stalker' Walker, we hope to see you back on the grid as soon as possible!
