MCE BSB: Knockhill - Round Four - Race Two

MCE Insurance Jake Dixon has done the double in another enthralling race around the fast and furious Knockhill circuit. The RAF Reserves Kawasaki rider put on another incredible display to seal the perfect weekend for both himself and the visibly elated team.

Dixon led from the opening lap with Mossey, Ellison, Linfoot and Byrne chasing. Mossey and Ellison swapped places five times in one lap (an impressive feat when considering that this is the second shortest circuit on the MCE BSB calendar) as their battle for second raged on.

On lap seven Mossey went ahead of Dixon who then dropped back to third when Ellison took advantage of a rare mistake from the rider this weekend.

Byrne stalked Dixon for a while before pushing the rider back to fourth on his hunt for a win of his own. Mossey had created a reasonable lead before making a mistake and allowing the chasing pack to apply the pressure, Ellison made the most of the situation and pushed Mossey back to second whilst Dixon snatched back third from Byrne. Dixon then fired his Kawasaki past Mossey to push the championship leader back a spot before Byrne once again stalked his prey and took the final podium spot.

The battle for first went down to a last gasp effort from Dixon over Ellison which he kept a firm grip on and raced over the line with the McAMS Yamaha rider forced to settle for second.

Mossey finished fourth, followed by Brookes and Linfoot. O'Halloran, Laverty, Hickman and McConnell completed the top ten.
