Round 3 - MCE British Superbike Championship - Brands Hatch Indy - Qualifying

MCE Insurance Luke Mossey has bagged his first ever pole position in the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship following a hectic qualifying session at the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit. He didn't make it easy for himself, however, leaving it until the final 20 seconds of the session.

The first session was riddled with incidents, with Rispoli, Kennedy and McConnell all crashing out and ending their qualifying session prematurely. Peter Hickman was unable to join his fellow JG Speedfit Kawasaki teammates in the final session, narrowly missing out of the top nine.

O'Halloran crashed out in Q2 however the Honda team spectacularly managed to repair his bike to head back out again and contend in the final stages of Q3, he had to settle for ninth overall, however.

Mossey had been consistent throughout all of the qualifying session, but it could have been anyone's as the top nine all battled it out for the top spot. Ellison had to settle for second with Mossey on pole by a slight 0.028s, Byrne will make up the front row. Laverty will lead the second row followed by Cooper and Bridewell. Haslam, Hopkins and O'Halloran making up the top nine.
