Andrews pilots MCE Blade at RAF charity event
MCE Insurance, the UK's number one of provider of motorbike insurance have recently helped out MCE BSB support series team Lee Hardy Racing sponsored by the RAF Reserves. The team took part in a charity ride and fly day in support of the Freja Ellie Appeal at RAF Leeming but they were in need of a pillion bike, luckily Big Ed stepped in and lent them one of his Fireblades for the worthy cause.
The team's rider Simon Andrews got himself a ride in a fighter jet and repaid the favour to the pilot by taking him out pillion on Big Ed's Blade. His race bike does not have a pillion seat so one of the MCE Fireblades used for Club MCE members pillion laps was a perfect replacement. Simon went on to do a number of laps around the air base always reminding the pilots to hold on tight!
The day was a great success and helped raise more funds for the Freja Ellie Appeal whose aim is to raise £500,000 for her Neuroblastoma relapse protocol treatment overseas.
