Man fined for riding a Mini-moto

MCE Insurance

A 30 year old man from Banbridge has been fined £150 after he was caught riding a mini-moto with no insurance in a public place.

Jamie Wilson was the man in question; he insisted he was not aware you had to have insurance to ride the machine. He pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared in court last week. District Judge Mr Copeland commented that it was, "Rather juvenile conduct", for someone of that age.

Mr Wilson was ordered to pay an offenders levy of £15 and warned that if the fine is not paid within 10 weeks he could face a prison sentence of seven days. If you own a mini-moto please make sure you don't fall into this trap and keep it on private land.
