National Motorcycle Museum broken into

MCE Insurance

On the evening of Wednesday the 27th of August the National Motorcycle museum in Birmingham was broken into and had a number of irreplaceable items stolen.

Thieves swept through the museum grabbing what they could and smashing as they went. Many of the priceless motorcycles were knocked over as they cleared out cabinets filled with trophies from days gone by. The museum said that the trophies would be worth nothing in scrap metal value but the loss of them is huge because they are "a unique and irreplaceable part of this countries motorcycling heritage".

The museum is offering a £20,000 reward for information that leads to the recovery of the trophies. If you've heard anything please contact West Midlands Police or the museum itself on 01675 443311 or via email to james@thenmm.co.uk. In the meantime the museum is open for business as usual.
