Opportunities For All at MCE Insurance

The UK employment market has been experiencing difficult times in recent years and people who find themselves out of a job face an uphill struggle to get back into the world of work. The government have introduced a range of measures to help get Britain working again and MCE Insurance, the UK's Number One provider of motorbike insurance, have been working hard alongside the job centres in the local area to make one of these initiatives in particular a success in finding job opportunities for people out of work.

Sector-Based Work Academies are a two-week course for people who are ready to work and who are receiving benefits to help them secure employment. The academies include pre-employment training relevant to the needs of the sector of the partner company, a work experience placement and a guaranteed job interview for those who complete the course. MCE Insurance have recently partnered with their local job centre in setting up one of these academies and have recruited seven new people to their team as a result of the process. These new recruits will take up positions in MCE's Sales and Customer Service teams and have given overwhelming feedback as to how helpful the Sector-Based Work Academy was in terms of getting them ready for the recruitment process.

Julian Edwards, Chief Executive at the title sponsors of the MCE Insurance British Superbike series is delighted with the results of the partnership; "At MCE, we have a proud heritage of offering career opportunities for people in our local area. The academy that we have recently been involved in has given local people some much-needed support and skills training in their search for employment, as well as providing us with more talented people with which to grow our team. We look forward to seeing our new recruits grow their careers with us here at MCE."
