An article recently published in the Insurance Times revealed that as a whole, the companies that make up the Top 50 Brokers and Top 50 Insurers reported an average mean gender pay gap of 30.4%, which more than doubles the national average of 14.4%.

 

MCE are proud to say that we are in the top five insurers listed regarding the pay gap, with a figure of 19.2%. As a company continually striving to be Professional, Trusted and Collaborative, this is fantastic and directly in line with our goal of being the best that we can be for our people.

 

Being the second largest employer in East Northamptonshire, it goes to show that we are not only a substantial company in the area, but we are also setting a benchmark in the insurance industry nationwide.

 

The work is not yet done, however. While our gender pay gap is significantly lower than some of our competitors in the financial services industry, we are committed to reducing it further in the coming months and years to ensure all of our people receive the attention, recognition and rewards that they deserve.
