MCE is delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Ormiston to the Board, taking responsibility for the transformation of MCE’s claims handling processes. Paul brings in excess of 25 years industry experience, most recently as Global Head of Claims Performance and Governance ay QBE.

Paul will take overall responsibility for all aspects of the Claims Function. But it is the implementation of new claims initiatives, driving cost savings for the business as well as a smoother, faster claims experience for customers through digitisation that most appealed about the role. “MCE has the tech to transform customer satisfaction at the point when they need it most – when they have a claim. I’m excited to be given the opportunity to lead the development of that process.”

An active member of the Chartered Management Institute and a qualified PRINCE2 practitioner, Paul has extensive experience managing digitisation projects, and is excited by the vision the MCE leadership team has. “Having spoken with (MCE’s CEO) Julian Edwards, it was clear to me that the Board had already identified that the business must become a true Insurtech, and that a clearly defined claims automation strategy would be a central tenant of this evolution. I’m very excited to have that remit as my responsibility. It’s an opportunity to have a real impact on a forward-thinking business.”

Julian Edwards commented “The creation of a Claims Director role was a strategic decision that reflects our customer centric approach. The bottom line is, that in the event of a claim, the customer should expect a best in class service. Paul brings to the table extensive experience in creating and managing claims automation strategies, and we are excited by the impact we know he can have on the business.”
