Leonard Labinjo joins MCE as Finance Director
MCE is pleased to announce that Leonard Labinjo has joined the Board as Finance Director. The appointment is the second addition to the leadership team in short order, following Paul Ormiston joining MCE as Claims Director a month ago. Leonard brings 15 years of strategic financial management experience to MCE’s senior management team as the business continues to evolve and expand.
The appointment comes at an exciting time for MCE. The business is committed to full digitisation, a process that saw investment of around £3m in 2020 alone. With growing sales and product innovation and diversification, the management team recognised the need to recruit a board level executive to manage finances as the business matures as an insurtech.
While Leonard will take full responsibility for MCE’s finance function, it is the strategic advisory role that appealed to him when approached about the position. “MCE has some fantastic corporate discipline, and I saw a senior management team with a real vision and passion for fully modernising the business. Clearly good financial governance and strategic insight is needed to do this – and that’s what excites me about this as a newly created role.”
