O'Halloran tops official test
Jason O'Halloran has topped today's MCE Insurance British Superbike Official Test held at Snetterton, ahead of Glenn Irwin and Jake Dixon in the overall combined times.
This is a crucial time for the class of 2017 as we prepare to head up north to Knockhill next weekend and O'Halloran certainly made the most of it, able to beat his 2016 qualifying lap time in the process as he continues to make progress with the Honda Fireblade.
Behind Irwin and Dixon was defending Champion Shane 'Shakey' Byrne, with Jakub Smurz in fifth. John Hopkins, who was fastest in the morning session finished in sixth overall in the combined times.
Leon Haslam blew an engine in the opening session and so Mossey was the sole JG Speedfit Kawasaki rider out, 1.517s off the top spot and finising in 7th. Linfoot, McConnell and Westmoreland completed the top ten.
A number of teams were absent due to currently competing in the Isle of Man TT, notably Tyco BMW, McAMS Yamaha and the Bennetts Suzuki squad.
