I look forward to Motorcycle Live every year, from lusting over new motorcycles to revelling in the MCE British Superbike announcements and gossip it's always one to remember.
For MCE Insurance it's always an exciting period as they head to Birmingham armed with laptops and discounts ready to insure as many people as possible, as well as chat face to face with our customers. It was great news to hear we had one of our most successful years to date as the enormous crowds descended on the centre on a daily basis.
We were also the only insurer invited on to the Honda stand, giving us another platform to not only discuss policies with potential customers, but also strengthen our relationship with Honda and hopefully get me an African Twin in in the process... It's certainly worth a try.
My personal highlight was what will forever be known as 'manic Monday' with three massive MCE BSB announcements made in succession. Honda Racing decided to stick with their three-strong line up of Linfoot, O'Halloran and Tinmouth, Suzuki signed Kiyonari and Bridewell and Iddon made his way over to Tyco BMW to join Laverty. It was a blur of excitement and congratulations for all, and it only stoked the fire further leaving me counting down the days until the MCE BSB kicks off once more.
