Halsall confirms Suzuki split

MCE Insurance Martin Halsall has announced his team will move away from Suzuki at the end of this year's MCE BSB, disappointed with a lack of information regarding the new GSX-R1000 which was revealed last year.

He said: 'The manufacturer unveiled their new machine in November 2015 and their intention was to make that bike available to Halsall Racing sooner rather than later. The reality has been far from that and the delivery date has been continuously delayed throughout the year. The bike was presented to the public in 2015 yet it is still to make an appearance, despite repeated promises from Suzuki and that is far from acceptable.'

He says the team have been 'hindered' this year by Suzuki, however he has 'taken a great deal of positives from this season'. One of which is undoubtedly Tommy Bridewell who seems to have forged a great relationship with the team.

Halsall says he hopes Bridewell's 'services can be retained' for next year, and the next steps will be 'working to secure another manufacturer and a second rider in order for us to mount a serious title assault next year.'
