Lloyds trip for MCE development group

MCE Insurance

Eleven of MCE Insurance's brightest talents have been hand-picked to take part in the company's 'TalentEd' career development scheme over the past few months, attending leadership workshops and undergoing various vocational experiences designed to help prepare them for their upward career development within the company.

The latest of these exciting experiences for the group was a trip to London's financial district to visit the famous Lloyds of London building as guests of the British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA), a visit designed to grow the group's knowledge and understanding of the wider insurance industry as well as learning more about the role that BIBA plays in the world of the insurance broker.

Liam Morrish, four years with MCE and a member of the TalentEd development group reflected on his trip to London; "This visit was one of the best experiences that I've ever had and is definitely a career highlight so far. It really opened my eyes to what goes on out there in the wider insurance industry and the Lloyds building in itself is a fabulous place to visit."

Matt Duck, Head of Talent at the UK's Number One provider of motorcycle insurance enthused; "The development of our people is part of the DNA of our company. It is important that any development scheme has a holistic approach to learning and is not just confined to the classroom. It would seem that the trip to the Lloyds building has been a real success in terms of widening our peoples' knowledge of the industry and it is something that I look forward to repeating with other members of our team."
