MCE BSB memorabilia raises funds for Riders for Health
MCE Insurance, the UK's number one provider of motorcycle insurance, recently held an auction on internet site eBay in order to raise funds for the Riders for Health charity.
Riders for Health is an award-winning social enterprise, which raises much needed funds to ensure that all health workers in Africa have access to reliable motorcycle transportation. The motorcycles assist health workers in reaching the most isolated people for regular and predictable health care.
The title sponsors of the MCE Insurance British Superbikes Series auctioned off signed merchandise for a 2nd year running from six of the top MCE BSB riders in order to support this extremely worthy cause. MCE raised a fantastic total of £821, a huge £381.94 more than 2012. The monies raised will go directly towards the motorbikes that the African health workers use so that they can continue to be kept on the road.
Julian Edwards, MCE's Group Chief Executive commented; "The work that Riders for Health do in Africa to ensure a consistent flow of healthcare to remote parts of the continent is expensive to maintain but vital to those that it helps. At MCE, we are delighted to support the work undertaken by Riders for Health by running another successful auction of signed MCE British Superbike memorabilia."
Riders for Health are a partner of MCE Insurance and provide the FREE helmet and leather storage that is available for all Club MCE members at rounds of the MCE British Superbikes. For more information about Club MCE visit Big Ed's Facebook.
