New VFR, and a Kick in the Buells

Hello to all you Bikers - Big Ed here again,

Did you know, UK motorcyclists are on average 3cms taller than non-bikers. A nice pointless stat to get this weeks blog started.

So the (aparently) most important bike for quite some time has been released and ridden for the first time - the Honda VFR1200F. Inovative I think - combining styles, and with more gadgets than James Bond its certainly what people are all talking about. I’m a big fan of the optinal duel clutch it has, for quicker shiftng. Jury’s still out on the looks though - thing of beauty or face only a mother can love - what do you all think?

Elsewhere some shocking news this week as Buell Motorcycles announced they will never make another bike! I am very sad about this, as I’m incredibly fond of these bikes, with there incredibe handling and unique looks. You can see the almost tearful farewell statement from Erik Buell at this link (http://www.buell.com/en_us/). Troubling times for owners Harley Davidson, who have already sold off M.V. Augusta only 14 months after aquiring it.

Big Ello to everyone I met at Oulton Park at the weekend - a great finish to the season and contender for race of the year in race one. I’m going to serously miss the BSB - but can’t wait for the new season to begin when I know it will be bigger and better than ever!
