GBmoto become Official factory Kawasaki team

MCE Insurance GBmoto racing have signed a three year deal with Kawasaki and will become the official factory supported ride for the manufacturer. Working directly with the World Superbike team they will be on the new ZX-10R and pushing for wins in the MCE British Superbike championship, as well as the IOMTT, NW200 and Ulster GP.

The JG Speedfit Kawasaki team will head to the winter tests alongside 2015 WSBK Champion Jonathan Rea and teammate Tom Sykes to put the new livery to the test. James Ellison's teammate is set to be revealed in the upcoming weeks and rumours are already flying with regards to who the unnamed rider will be, and if they will possibly participate in some road racing as well, which could be a possible hint.

Ross Burridge, Senior Racing and Marketing Co-ordinator at KNUK said: "I'm really excited to be continuing with GBmoto team for the next three years. The entire team works at an incredibly professional level and their desire to succeed is second to none. It's been a very successful two years on-track, whilst the team has also done their upmost to support us off-track as part of our wider marketing aspects."

Burridge continued that with PBM heading to Ducati in 2016 GBmoto will become the "Official Superbike team for the first time which means they will not just enjoy much closer links to the factory, but also the World Superbike team. It's a new phase for Kawasaki with our latest ZX-10R and I personally can't think of a better group of people to be working with!"
