BIBA looks to the future
Recently Colin Pedwell MCE's Ed of Partnerships & Compliance who represents the whole of the UK broker members within his role on the BIBA (British Insurance Brokers Association) Motor Panel made his way to their most recent meeting.
During this meeting a whole range of topics were discussed affecting the future of insurance broking within the UK, these ranged from the ongoing Government Investigation into Motor Insurance, to the latest position on a driving licence database that will be available to the insurance industry to prevent application fraud in 2014.
At the meeting BIBA's response to a government consultation on the removal of insurance certificates and also changes to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act were also discussed.
Also in attendance as guests were the ABI (Association of British Insurers) enabling the broker markets to raise ongoing issues with the insurer market and also gain insurer support for BIBA's lobbying in government which would give them more weight.
Colin said, "BIBA is as important as ever for brokers and these meetings give us fine opportunity to move things forward in our industry for companies and customers alike."
